Exploring non-functional forms as conduits for light and thought

I continually push pieces toward increasing translucency and weightlessness.

Bone china and porcelain paper clay are my media of choice. Cellulose fibers (recycled paper, cotton, abaca, etc.) are incorporated into porcelain clay, allowing increased flexibility in creating thin, lightweight forms.

Inspiration is drawn from the varied microcosms of the natural world, entomology being of particular interest.
